Sonitrol Pacific, a Sound Security, Inc. company, donated $2,100 to Crime Stoppers organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest in recognition of the 21 incidents that resulted in the apprehension of suspects at facilities protected by a Sonitrol Pacific security system during the third quarter of 2008.
For each Sonitrol Pacific assisted apprehension, the company donates $100 to area Crime Stoppers organizations. As reported in the Tacoma News Tribune, Crime Stoppers of Oregon received a donation of $800.00, Tacoma/Pierce County Crime Stoppers received a donation of $700.00 and Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound received a donation of $600.00 to recognize the officers and dispatchers responding to a call from Sonitrol Pacific’s Operations Center of a crime in progress at a Sonitrol Pacific protected site.
Year to date 2008, Sonitrol Pacific has assisted in the apprehension of 139 suspects. This is up from the 134 apprehensions in 2007.
Sonitrol Pacific’s unique audio detection system allows for early and verified detection of suspicious activity and expert sound analysts listen to what is happening at a site to keep police informed on the activities of suspects while the officers are en route.
Sonitrol Pacific supports the crime reduction efforts of Crime Stoppers organizations. Since 1978, the electronic security company has assisted law enforcement in the apprehension of 4,979 suspected criminals.
