Security audio of a thud, movement and scraping sounds resulted in the dispatch of a guard service and apprehension of seven suspected trespassers at a Tacoma area school May 29.
Sonitrol Pacific Operator Minta Christopherson received the impact-activated security audio signal triggered by a thud at the school and called the school district’s security guard service. Listening in live to what was happening at the school while the guard was on his way, Christopherson heard sounds of movement and scraping. She kept the guard updated about what she was hearing.
The security guard located and detained seven kids trespassing at the school. They were released to their parents.
