Kris Etheridge

Police arrested one and detained two others after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security system in a Puget Sound area school detected glass breaking July 7.

Monitoring Operator Kris Etheridge received the impact-activated audio security alarm from the public grade school just after 1 a.m.  She suspected the “loud crashing noise” was glass breaking and called the school district’s guard service to investigate.

Etheridge continued to listen to live audio at the school while the guard was on his way and heard more crashing noises and sounds of movement.

The security guard found a large window at the school had been broken and detained three kids.  Tacoma Police arrested one of the juveniles and released the other two to their parents.
